PASSION
"Rehearse for life!" invites the mission banner of Hawaii's Alliance for Drama Education.
Since 1985 this mantra has inspired ADE's T-Shirt Theatre students to stage sixty original productions inspiring Kalihi peers to make healthy choices and to build positive relationships.
Scientists report that life happiness is tripod legged, requiring satisfying work to under pin health and relationship. This assertion sent TST student playwrights off on a six month quest to recognize how identifying a prime passion early in life can lay tracks to secure "the work I'd pay to do". On the Farrington HS stage in early April they'll present their "findings" in an original show entitled P*A*S*S*I*O*N!

Calling all T-Shirt Theater Alumnis
Aloha all former T-Shirt Theatre members!
In honor of the 30th Anniversary of Alliance for Drama Education and Kalihi's own T-Shirt Theatre (!!) we're looking for TST alumni to help us out.
#1) We want to try to better understand how the T-Shirt Theatre fulfilled our mission to help you "win JOBS, JUSTICE, and JOY!"
And, #2) We want to create a big alumni community network so that we can re-connect the hundreds of wonderful folks who have joined us throughout the years. We would love to hear from you and to learn where you are now and what you are doing, and how to get in touch with you!
PLEASE SHARE!
Who can help? Anyone who participated in a T-Shirt Theatre production-- as an actor or a techie-- between 1980 and May 2010. If you are STILL involved with T-Shirt Theatre (as an Alumni), just let us know in your survey!
Please forward to your friends who were members of the T-Shirt Theatre. Our goal is to reach at least 2/3 (about 300 people!) of the total T-Shirt Theatre alumni.
The first 50 people to fill this out (and give us their EMAIL ADDRESS!) before AUGUST 30th will be entered in a raffle to win great prizes!!!
Shoots!

Bully... too? Public Performances
Farrington’s T-Shirt Theatre explores what it means to be a Bully … too?
What does it take to make a bully? T-Shirt Theatre concocts a recipe.
Do you make fun of your friends … just for fun?
Engage in cyber gossip?
Take advantage of people who you know won’t argue back?
Do you think you’re better than someone else because you’re:
.... bigger
.... or smarter
.... or prettier
.... or thinner?
Or do you beat up on yourself for not being good enough?
Bully … too? is the product of nearly a year’s worth of contemplation on this theme by the students and staff of T-Shirt Theatre. Taking material from their own lives, they have created several sketches that illustrate how bullying can take many forms.
Bullies aren’t just the big bad schoolyard scrappers who terrorize campus. Is there a bully living inside you
